Starting from August 8, passengers boarding Beijing Subway Line 1 may encounter a special "Time-Themed Train" to experience the changes in train designs of different eras.

The front and rear carriages of the train, with the white and green outlook, reproduce the appearance of old subway cars from the 1960s, revealing a strong sense of retro.

Walking from the ends towards the center of the train takes passengers through the 1980s and 1990s. The white exterior of the carriages is adorned with red stripes, and the seats in the carriages are changed to red plastic ones with a longitudinal layout to increase the capacity of the train.

Respectively designed based on the DKZ15 train used for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games branch line and the smart train of Line 11, the two carriages in the middle reveal characteristics of Beijing as a dual Olympic city and the technological development of Beijing Subway in recent years. In the themed carriage dedicated to the "Smart Ice and Snow Train", passengers can also watch the film on the "Magic Screen" installed on the window to learn more about the "old trains" of Beijing Subway.

The "Time Travel Train" of Beijing Subway initially runs on weekdays from 14:00 to 15:00, shuttling once between Gucheng Station and Fuxingmen Station. Depending on the initial operational feedback, Beijing Subway will gradually increase the frequency of this service.
