The Parallel Forum on Biomedicine of Beijing International Youth Innovation and Development Forum and the Fourth International Young Scholars Forum of Capital Medical University (hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Forum") will be launched online and offline in Beijing. The Forum will focus on international academic frontiers and hot disciplinary topics through academic reports to be released during the main forum, experiences to be shared by scholars having returned from overseas, academic exchanges during sub-forums, field trips and discussions, with a view to expanding academic horizons and promoting exchanges and cooperation.
The Forum this year is composed of a main forum and 25 sub-forums. The main forum will take place on November 7 at Capital Medical University (hereinafter referred to as the "University"), and will be webcast live for young talented minds around the world. The sub-forums based on various disciplines will be held from November 7 to 9, involving policy lectures, release of academic reports, and academic exchanges. The discussion for talented individuals will be held on November 9, where the heads of various schools and clinical medical schools of the University will exchange ideas with young scholars invited and provide guidance on the application for Beijing's supporting program for talent introduction.
Young scholars invited will be organized to visit the History Museum and Central Laboratory of the University on November 9. Young Chinese scholars invited can choose to participate in the Forum online or offline, while young scholars from overseas can only attend it online. The University will bear all accommodation, catering and domestic round-trip transportation fees for scholars who will attend the Forum in person (for economy class only; please also notice that each participant will be reimbursed for the actual expenses; the relevant reimbursement details will be sent along with the invitation letters).
Application Requirements
I. For Talented Individuals Introduced to China
1. Any talented individual introduced to China who is dedicated to the cause of higher education in China, with good integrity, legal compliance, professional ethics, and academic rigor;
2. Any outstanding young scholar who has obtained or is about to obtain a doctoral degree, with three or more years of experience of studying and working overseas, and has achieved outstanding academic performance; or has obtained a doctoral degree, with outstanding academic performance and great development potential in China.
II. For International Postdoctors
Any foreign doctoral graduates
1. Who is 35 years old and below;
2. Who has obtained a doctoral degree at a university that ranks among the top 100 universities of the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) over the past three years
3. Who has made outstanding research achievements during his/her doctoral program

Scholars who are interested in the Forum are welcome to register by scanning the QR codes below and logging in to the online application system at the Forum's website (https://forum.ccmu.edu.cn/) by September 17, 2023. After the qualification examination and comprehensive evaluation of applicants by the relevant schools and clinical medical schools of the University, the invitation letters to the Forum will be sent to qualified applicants through the registration system before October 10, 2023.
