In early 2023, the Fengtai District of Beijing launched two major projects aimed at providing high-quality education and healthcare services to the general public. First, the district has taken steps towards enhancing educational opportunities for its residents by integrating top-tier educational resources. Fengtai District has extended its support towards the operation of 12 new schools. These include institutions such as the Zhongtang Experimental School of Beijing National Day School and Fengtai School of the Experimental High School Attached to Beijing Normal University. Additionally, the district has expedited the construction of six other schools, including the Hexi School of Fengtai Primary School of Beijing National Day School. In addition, for the first time, Beijing LiZe International Academy will start enrolling first-grade students of primary and junior high schools in Beijing in 2023.

Second, Fengtai District has set its sights on building high-quality schools in major functional zones such as Zhongguancun Fengtai Science Park, Beijing Lize Financial Business District, and the southern Central Axis areas. This plan is led by the development of the top ten schools, including renowned institutions such as Beijing No. 5 Experimental School, Beijing No. 12 High School, and Lize High School Affiliated to Capital Normal University. 

Fengtai District is gearing up to introduce version 3.0 of the "Smart Family Doctor" system and complete the system improvement of the "Shenbian Jiayi" (which literally means "doctors by your side") application. The district also plans to promote the pilot project of online family healthcare services and facilitate residents to connect with family doctors by signing service agreements at home. As part of its efforts to bolster healthcare services, Fengtai District has transformed 21 community health service centers into fully operational community hospitals with approved inpatient wards. Moreover, ten categories of medical devices have been installed across ten community hospitals within the district to enhance their medical capabilities. The construction of Beijing Stomatological Hospital's new site is underway and the construction work is expected to be completed in December.

Fengtai District's financial sector has achieved a remarkable feat in the first quarter of 2023 by contributing CNY 8.84 billion towards the district's GDP. This accounts for 17.5 percent of the total GDP, marking a new record high in the district's financial history. The southern area of Beijing Lize Financial Business District has witnessed significant progress, with the completion of a construction area of 1.9 million square meters and the settlement of 1,043 enterprises. A group of digital finance institutions such as the Institute of Digital Money of the People's Bank of China and the National Digital Finance Technology Testing Center, along with enterprises such as China General Technology (Group) Holding Co., Ltd. and China Logistics Group Co., Ltd., have established their presence in the Beijing Lize Financial Business District. 

Zhou Xinchun, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Fengtai District Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor of Fengtai District noted that the district will enhance credit availability for the real economy, leverage the capital market to advance industrial transformation and upgrading, offer more targeted financial services, and promote Beijing Lize Financial Business District to become a high-quality model area with global influence.
