Beijing Epigraphy Museum in Qingyun Temple was officially inaugurated and opened on May 18, marking the first time Qingyun Temple has opened to the public since its establishment during the Jiajing Period (1522-1566) of the Ming Dynasty. On the same day, Xuannan Culture Museum was also reopened to the public after more than three years of restoration of cultural relics and enhancement of exhibition facilities.
Beijing Epigraphy Museum
Qingyun Temple is located at No. 10 Jingshan Back Street, on the Central Axis of Beijing and adjacent to the Bell and Drum Towers, Jingshan Park and other buildings along the Central Axis. As an innovative themed museum, the Beijing Epigraphy Museum is a new highlight on the Central Axis of Beijing.
The Beijing Epigraphy Museum consists of the main exhibition hall, a temporary exhibition hall, artisan workshops, a reconstructed Chinese literati study, and an intangible cultural heritage experience hall.
The engaging museum also offers visitors new experiences including 3D interactive versions of "ten most famous paintings" in China, as well as activities such as ink rubbings, seal cutting, digital precision DIY seal making, intangible cultural heritage crafting, and "Xiaoman"(Grain Buds:one of the 24 solar terms in China)themed tea parties.
The Beijing Epigraphy Museum also features a regular exhibition displaying its epigraphy culture. Meanwhile, activities such as intangible cultural heritage experience are held.

Xuannan Culture Museum
Xuannan (referring to the area to the south of Xuanwu Gate), is the place where Beijing was established and became the capital of China, and as such, Xuannan culture can be regarded as the origin and epitome of Beijing culture. Xuannan Culture Museum is located in Changchun Temple, one of China's most precious protected cultural relics. Xicheng District has been carefully renovating the original exhibits of this museum since 2019.
Xuannan Culture Museum is set to become Beijing's next internet-famous spot in Xicheng District. Visitors can participate in the "云享·宣南" ("Cloud Tour of Xuannan") activity via the museum's official WeChat account, which allows you to tour Changchun Temple and its exhibitions online.
