The 7th Gallery Weekend Beijing commenced on May 26 in Beijing, featuring remarkable exhibitions from 40 participating galleries and non-profit organizations. Visitors can immerse themselves in a diverse array of art exhibitions and cultural activities to behold a captivating showcase of contemporary art centered in Beijing. The event is scheduled to run from May 26 to June 4, with May 26 to 28 designated as the "VIP Days" and May 30 to June 4 as the "Public Days".

Spanning across the city, this event serves as a testament to the cultural vitality of Beijing, a hub of Chinese contemporary art. Centered around the iconic 798 Art Zone in Beijing, the event encompasses various other locations including Caochangdi Arts, Shunyi District and the China World Trade Center. The main session, serving as the core component of the event, remains dedicated to local spaces while also seeking to foster international dialogue with Beijing serving as the starting point for artistic exchange and collaboration.

At Galleria Continua in the 798 Art Zone, the solo exhibition titled "Vanishing" featuring the works by Hans Op de Beeck, a Belgian artist, takes center stage. The ground floor lobby showcases captivating watercolor paintings portraying scenes of snow, night, sea and people.

At the Beijing 2nd Space of Tang Contemporary Art, visitors can enjoy the solo exhibition of Zhu Jinshi who is also a renowned artist. The International Young Artist Invitational Exhibition has also kicked off under the auspices of Tang Contemporary Art and Soul Art. 

A total of 13 Chinese and foreign galleries participate in the Visiting Sector of the event, encompassing nine prominent cities including Berlin, Chengdu, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Paris, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Taipei. Pu Yingwei, a famous artist, and Chen Li, the curator of the event, play leading roles in planning the Up and Coming Sector and the Public Sector. In the group exhibition "Facets" of the Public Sector, major outdoor areas within the 798 Art Zone feature a dynamic display of sculpture, installations, images, videos, and performance artworks contributed by fifteen talented artists.
