The launch ceremony of the first edition of Beijing Museum Activity Month was held at the China Railway Museum's Dongjiao Pavilion on May 1. The activity month boasts a series of events, including the Museum Month with Activities Benefiting Visitors, the 2023 Beijing Museum Cultural and Creative Market, and the main venue activities for the upcoming International Museum Day on May 18.

The Museum Month with Activities Benefiting Visitors is scheduled to run until June 2, providing nearly 300 exhibitions across the museums in Beijing. Over 1,000 online cultural relics will also be on display for visitors to enjoy. Furthermore, visitors can enjoy these exhibitions without reservations, as more than 10,000 free tickets are available daily.

Beginning on May 1, residents can apply for tickets two days in advance (for example, tickets for May 3 can be applied for on May 1) at 10:00, 14:00, and 18:00 every day through the Beijing Museum Cloud Platform's mini-program and the ticket application channel of CCTV News application. On the designated date, users can gain entry to the event venue by presenting their ID cards along with the QR code obtained from a successful ticket application, which will be verified at the ticket-checking passage. More information about the online application process is available by subscribing to the mini-program of the Beijing Museum Cloud Platform.

The 2023 Beijing Museum Cultural and Creative Market, themed "Cultural Relics, Creativity, and Life," has been organized during the Labor Day holiday. The market featured more than 40 museums and cultural entities, including the Palace Museum, the National Museum of China, and the Capital Museum, showcasing their distinct cultural and creative products to provide visitors with an innovative and fascinating experience.

The cultural and creative market offered various activities, such as artistic performances, public lectures by intangible cultural heritage artists, interactive teaching featuring intangible cultural heritage items, and popular science lectures on railway-related topics.
