On April 12, the 2nd Beijing International Youth Forum (hereinafter referred to as the "Forum") was successfully held, with more than 200 youth representatives in attendance. Leaders, experts and artists from China and around the world attended the Forum in person or online, exchanging ideas under the theme of "Youth for a Better Future".

In his opening address, Gao Anming, Vice President and Editor-in-Chief of CICG, advised that young people should see themselves as the bearers of civilization and friendly cooperation. Gao further pointed out that young people should be willing to cooperate with others, be open-minded to different cultures and ways of thinking, and find the values of these cultures with receptive attitudes. He also expressed his hope that young people would devote themselves to building a global community with a shared future for mankind where people are connected rather than divided.

Xu Hejian, Director of the Information Office of Beijing Municipality, said that the 2nd Beijing International Youth Forum functions as a platform for youth around the world to call for global unity, and is a way to channel their energy into global development. Beijing will continue to utilize its location advantage as China's capital, building a broader platform for young talent around the globe. Xu hopes that more international youths will be drawn to Beijing, a suitable place where they can pursue their dreams and build a better future.

In his keynote speech, Hu Zhengyue, Vice President of the China Public Diplomacy Association, emphasized that young people are the driving force of mutual learning among civilizations, and have already been playing a significant role in cultural exchanges between China and other countries.
David Gosset, the founder of the Sino-European Global Initiative, mentioned in a video message that he hopes that young people would be ready to face the challenges of the future and would work together to build a harmonious global society.

A discussion section named "International Youth Roundtable" and subforums were also held during the Forum.
Youth representatives from various countries said that China's achievements on its path to modernization have encouraged many other countries to explore development paths that are in line with their own national conditions. They look forward to gaining more insights into the values of Chinese culture, accumulating knowledge and making friends.
At the closing ceremony, David Qingzhong Pan, Executive Dean of the Schwarzman Scholars Program of Tsinghua University, and Gao Xin, General Manager of Bosheng International Culture Communication Co, Ltd. both gave speeches.

The Forum was hosted by the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies (ACCWS) of CICG, as well as the Information Office of Beijing Municipality. Under the joint efforts of the universities in Beijing and other cities, the Forum is now a brand in its own right - an international communication platform with local characteristics, and a place for young people around the world to exchange ideas. It aims to nurture profound friendships among young people from different countries, and similarly promote friendly cooperation between China and other countries, using the wisdom and courage of young people to help build a global community with a shared future for mankind.
