Located at the southern end of Wangfujing Street, the Beijing Mall was closed in October 2020 for renovation. The mall was then renamed Wangfujing Xiyue Shopping Mall, becoming a key urban construction project contributing to the aim of building Beijing into an international consumption center. The mall will be the first "new Chinese-style shopping center" in China, and is expected to open before the end of 2022.

With construction area of nearly 80,000 square meters, the mall has seven floors above ground and two floors underground, with Yuanshikou Block themed on new Chinese-style accounting for nearly 30 percent of the area. The first four floors mainly provide retail services, while the remaining floors offer dining and catering. The B1 and B2 floors will be an immersive space full of Chinese elements. The project will build a new ecosystem featuring integrated online and offline operations.

Efforts will be launched to introduce "first stores" to distinguish the mall from other shopping malls in the Wangfujing Business District. Among the more than 200 retail brands to be introduced, the brands that will establish their first stores in the Wangfujing Business District account for nearly 60 percent, and the retail and catering brands with Chinese-style attributes account for more than 70 percent. A new experience of Chinese-style fashion will be created in an all-round way.
