The 2023 New Year's Day holiday is around the corner. The Badaling Great Wall Scenic Area will open at night, and hold a sunrise-viewing event, which will be the first event of this type in the scenic area. A Total of 2,023 people will gather on the Great Wall to enjoy the first sunrise of the New Year. This will be the first time for the scenic area to receive visitors on the Great Wall at night during the winter season.

Visitors can enjoy specialty dishes at the Badaling Hotel at 17:30 on December 31. After the illuminations are turned on at 18:00, visitors can climb the Great Wall to enjoy an unforgettable experience with their loved ones.

After the scenic area closes at night, participants can take the shuttle bus or drive to the Beijing Badaling DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton. Visitors need to make a separate reservation for the hotel. By participating in the event, visitors will get special offers on hotel prices.

At 7 o'clock the next day, as the New Year's sunlight begins to set in, visitors will be escorted to Badaling Guancheng Square, and then can go to the South Fourth Enemy Observation Tower for the capturing of the New Year's first rays of sunshine.
