In the interests of providing better services and preventing the further spread of the pandemic, Beijing's traffic management authority has temporarily extended dates for renewing and submitting materials. The end of the temporary measures will be announced separately through the website of the Beijing Traffic Management Bureau and the official Weibo and WeChat accounts of the Beijing Traffic Police in accordance with the pandemic situation in Beijing.

More than 30 services are currently accessible through the "Traffic Management 12123" ("交管12123") app, which cuts down the time spent on traveling and waiting in line. Beijing's traffic management authority encourages people to download the app and experience the convenience of online applications (download from https://bj.122.gov.cn/#/app).

The application period has been extended for annual motor vehicle inspections and driver license renewal and verifications with due dates falling on or after November 2022. The application period for the use of original motor vehicle plates and the period for plate number pre-selection through the Internet Traffic Safety Integrated Service Platform (www.122.gov.cn) have also been extended.

At present, some motor vehicle inspection sites in Beijing remain open and continue to operate as normal. Motor vehicle owners can schedule their inspection appointments through the "Traffic Management 12123" ("交管12123") app or by calling the inspecting sites directly.

The application period has likewise been extended for electric bicycle registration, with applicants invited to bring their vehicles and submit their application forms, identity documents, and other materials for registration in person after the pandemic situation has improved.

Drivers temporarily unable to provide the physical examination certificates when applying for license renewal are invited to make use of the "Physical Examination Certificate Submission Delay" option in the "Traffic Management 12123" ("交管12123") app.

Applicants having their physical examinations at a medical institution with online transmission service need not submit copies in person. The physical examination certificate in paper form can be taken to any vehicle management office or station in Beijing or mailed to the Beijing Vehicle Management Online Service Center at: Building C, No. 126 Lianhuachi East Road, Fengtai District, Beijing (contact number: (8610)63972122).
