Medical institutions in Beijing that have access to drivers' physical examination qualifications have begun transmitting medical information online (The list is available on the "交管12123" app and on the official website of the Beijing Traffic Management Bureau). After undergoing physical examinations in designated medical institutions, applicants are now able to renew their driving licenses online via the "交管12123" app or "交通安全综合服务管理平台" (www.122.gov.cn). More conveniently, it is now unnecessary for applicants to renew expired driving licenses at the traffic management service window with their physical condition certificates onsite. Applicants over 70 and applicants lacking physical information are now able to upload or resubmit physical condition certificates online.

Steps for Renewal of Expired Driving Licenses Online

Step 1: Enter the business center (业务中心) and choose "Driving License Renewal" (驾驶证补换领).

Step 2: Tick "Renewal of Expired Driving Licenses" (期满换证), read notice and confirm the driver's information. (If there is no valid photo for the driving license, the applicant needs to upload the photo for the driver's license under the guidance of instructions before moving to the next step.)

Step 3: Choose delivery options. For self-pickup, please choose the appropriate vehicle management office or vehicle management branch office. For express delivery, please fill in the address.

After completing required steps on the "交管12123" app, applicants who choose self-pickup shall pick up their driving licenses from the vehicle management office or vehicle management branch office during working hours.
