Recently, China’s first international film and television production service center was inaugurated at Huairou Film and Television Industry Park in Beijing. The center will be responsbile for handling 31 examination and approval service items regarding the consultation, acceptance and notification of international film and television projects.
Among the services to be offered by the center, Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau will open an express channel for the preliminary examination of TV drama participated by foreigners and offer 21 services such as preliminary examination of Sino-foreign TV drama co-productions, preliminary examination of TV animation co-productions, filing of Internet movie and television drama. Beijing Municipal Film Administration will also open a dedicated channel for Sino-foreign co-production examination to provide 9 services such as film filing and examination of foreign cast and crew recruitment for Chinese films.
Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau will open a green channel for foreign cast and crew to handle applications for visa and permanent residence ID cards. By opening a green channel for domestic and foreign film and television projects, the center will accept and handle qualified applications for the lack of certain materials, and prioritize applications initially submitted to the center.
