In the past year, 14 international and domestic brands unveiled their first stores in the China World Trade Center in Beijing, spanning across various sectors from apparel, electronics and home furnishings to catering and more.

In recent years, Beijing central business district (Beijing CBD) has been working harder to attract international high-end brands and encourage top domestic and foreign brands to land their headquarters there. Beijing CBD has also been active in the introduction of branded "first stores" and flagship stores, already becoming the citywide top choice for incoming brands.

"Provided they strictly comply with measures for pandemic prevention and control, Beijing CBD is encouraging business circles in the region to introduce more diversified and high-quality consumer products," stated an official with the Beijing CBD Management Committee. This year, the business district will focus on introducing world-renowned corporate, commodity, and service brands with unique brand values and advanced operating models. For this it will rely on commercial and complex projects including Beijing SKP, China World Trade Center, China Central Place, and The Place.

The business district will invite international high-end brands, avant-garde fashion brands, and original designer brands to release new products in Beijing and will work with high-end flagship stores, concept stores and anchor stores to offer "first store" advantages. Meanwhile, in order to generate new business forms and models, it will encourage specialty catering, culture, and sporting consumer brands to open flagship stores and research centers there.

Finally, Beijing CBD will encourage the cross-industry integration of culture, the arts, social life, and retail, will continue to promote activities such as its art and video seasons, and will encourage the development of new consumption formats including complex bookstores and creative design hotels.
