PaddlePaddle, a deep learning platform of Baidu, has been recently recognized as "Beijing's Platform for Innovative Application of AI to Industries" by Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology. It is the first platform of its kind in Beijing. The platform is planned to become an industry-level open-source platform for deep learning and to serve the innovative industrial application of AI, which can make the industries in Beijing more smart.

After the launching of the platform, Beijing will, relying on PaddlePaddle, provide such resources as computing capability, tools and ecosystem required for the AI-powered industrial innovative development and transformation, utilize advanced AI technologies to mainly serve its enterprises in all sectors in tapping into market demand, and promote the application of AI technologies.  

PaddlePaddle is China's first industry-level self-developed, controllable, open-source deep learning platform with complete functions. Thanks to years of technical research and industrial practice, the platform has surpassed foreign platforms in terms of a number of technical and ecological indicators of the same period. PaddlePaddle has currently gathered more than 2.65 million developers and served 100,000 enterprises. It has been utilized in many fields essential to national development and people's livelihood such as urban development, industry, electricity and communications.
