Hi, I'm Zhu Yijing, a BRTV hostess. The pillow I'm holding is Bing Dwen Dwen. Its prototype giant panda is a very successful example of biodiversity conservation in China. Over the past 40 years, the number of giant pandas has increased from more than 1100 to over 1800 by China’s protection of giant pandas and the establishment of giant panda nature reserves. Meanwhile, thousands of different species of animals and plants are also protected.
This colorful world is the foundation for human survival and development. May 22 this year marks the 29th International Day for Biological Diversity, with the theme of “Building a shared future for all life”. Here, we'd like to invite young people from all over the world to use their paintbrushes and actively participate in the "Colorful World" International Youth Painting Invitational Exhibition. Let's take practical actions to protect biodiversity and make joint efforts to realize the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
