Beijing Half Marathon 2023 kicked off at Tian'anmen Square on April 16 with men's and women's half marathon events and more than 50,000 participants from 27 countries that included China, Japan, the United States, Germany, France, Canada, Spain, India, the Republic of Korea, and Singapore. One of the participants to successfully complete the race was Kim Junbum from the Republic of Korea. "Beijing is a dual-Olympic City," he said after the race, "and it's racing into the future! 30 Thousand Runners to Participate in Beijing Marathon

The Beijing Marathon is set to commence on October 29, as announced by the organizing committee.

This year's event consisted of two divisions, namely the men's half marathon and the women's half marathon, with a total of about 20,000 participants. Since the registration opened on March 15, over 50,000 people from 27 countries and regions, including China, Japan, the United States, Germany, France, Canada, Spain, India, South Korea, and Singapore, registered for the competition. Among them, male runners accounted for 74 percent while female runners accounted for 26 percent.
