Krishna Prasad Oli, the Ambassador of Nepal to China, first visited Beijing in 2012. Even before his arrival, he believed that "it must be a very different place". After assuming his position as the Ambassador of Nepal to China in 2024, Oli witnessed significant improvement in Beijing's air quality and remarkable advancement in urban greening, describing Beijing as "a vibrant city".
This year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Nepal. From the construction of the White Pagoda in Miaoying Temple in Beijing by Nepalese Anigo over 700 years ago to today's collaborative developments in green energy such as solar energy and hydroenergy, Oli expressed deep feelings about the long-standing friendship between Nepal and China. "It seems to me that whenever I meet any Chinese friends or colleagues or other people, they respond with a smile. So that is the love, that type of deep love and affection from a human to you, other human."
