Richard Waddell is from South Africa. He arrived in China in September 2017 and now serves as a principal of a kindergarten in Chaoyang District, Beijing Municipality. One of the things that Waddell has noticed in Chaoyang in the six years is that the district is becoming more and more internationalized. It is very easy for non-Chinese citizens to go to the hospitals here, while many of the international schools around are catering to the growing expatriate population of Chaoyang.
"You don't feel like a stranger in Chaoyang. You feel very warm and accepted in this place," remarked Waddell.
