Yann from France, who is both a designer and an advisory committee member from UNESCO International Center for Creativity & Sustainable Development once said, "Beijing is like an oak tree, beautiful and magnificent, deeply rooted in the soil, while its trunk grows upwards towards the sun, towards the future."

From June 6-11, 2021, the activity 2021 Silk Road Rediscovery Tour of Beijing: A Centurial Journey of Progress, sponsored by the People's Government of Beijing Municipality and undertaken by CRI Online of China Media Group, was held in Beijing. During this event, Yann visited Beihai Park, Wangfujing Street, Heping Guoju, Shougang Park, Zhongguancun Software Park and Beijing Municipal Administrative Center, to experience the sustainable development that Beijing has achieved over the years.
