Located in the western suburbs of Beijing, Fragrant Hills Park spans 188 hectares and is an imperial garden featuring lush forests and rolling hills. It boasts exceptional natural scenery and a rich historical and cultural heritage, including several national and municipal protected cultural relics, such as Jingyi Garden and Biyun Temple. Fragrant Hills Park is a key part of the West Mountain scenic area and the Qing Dynasty's royal "Three Mountains and Five Gardens." In 1986, the park's red autumn leaves were named one of the "Newly Selected Sixteen Sights of Beijing." The optimal period for admiring the red leaves is from late October to early November, when the hillsides are blanketed in vibrant autumn colors.
