The Summer Palace, located in the western outskirts of Beijing, is the largest and most well-preserved imperial garden in China. Kunming Lake, as the core area of the Summer Palace, occupies about 75% of the total garden area. Together with the Longevity Hill, Kunming Lake forms the main parts of the Summer Palace.
