Universal's Chinese New Year to Be Launched in Beijing on January 18
The themed event of Universal Beijing Resort, Universal's Chinese New Year, will be held from January 18 to February 23, 2025.
Viper, the movie character from Kung Fu Panda, will be the themed icon for Year of the Snake at Universal Beijing Resort. Viper will be eager to greet guests after being transformed into a magnificent statue.
"Universal's Nian Show", a special performance of Spring Festival, will make a grand return. 14 iconic characters from blockbuster films such as Despicable Me and Kung Fu Panda, along with dozens of performers, will present an exciting story. A number of celebrity characters from these movies will also appear to interact at the Meet-and-Greet events.
As a landmark landscape of Universal's Chinese New Year - Year of the Snake, the Universal's Golden Wintersweet Tree of Blessings, will debut alongside the Blue Lagoon Lake. Every half hour, the blossoms on the tree will light up with a spectacular display of light and shadow.
A selection of Spring Festival delicacies, a limited-edition Kung Fu Panda Viper Tang Ren, and a commemorative Kung Fu Panda bucket made for Year of the Snake are all available to guests at the Universal's Chinese New Year Square.
Universal Beijing Resort will also introduce unique themed merchandise, including Year of the Snake Kung Fu Panda series and Minions Zodiac blind box figurines.
The resort's two hotels will create an immersive Spring Festival experience. On New Year's Eve, NUO Resort Hotel will host a Meet-and-Greet event with Kung Fu Panda's characters Po and Tigress, delivering warm Spring Festival wishes to guests. On January 27, the Universal Studios Grand Hotel will host a joyous family buffet dinner where visitors may celebrate with Minions Bob and Kevin decked out in New Year's clothing. The Spring Festival themed interactive breakfast with the characters of Despicable Me will return at the Lotus Garden.
Universal Beijing Resort will also introduce a range of Chinese New Year's ticket packages and events to cater to the varied needs of guests.
