Beijing's Yanqing District to Host 10 International and Domestic Winter Sports Competitions

Ten international and domestic winter sports competitions will be held in Yanqing District during the 2024-2025 snow season, which are expected to offer wonderful spectacular experiences for winter sports athletes and fans.

The 2024-25 IBSF Skeleton World Cup will be held from November 19 to 23 at the National Sliding Center. A total of 163 athletes, coaches and accompanying officials from 18 countries and regions will participate in the event. The FIS Snowboard World Cup Parallel - Giant Slalom and Parallel-Slalom 2024 will be held at the National Alpine Skiing Center from December 5 to 8, expected to be attended by about 280 competitors. The IBSF Asian Cup Skeleton will be held from November 18 to December 1 at the National Alpine Skiing Center, with four competitions scheduled and 100 athletes to attend. Meanwhile, the FIL Luge World Cup will also be held at the National Sliding Center from February 17 to 23, 2025, with an expected participation of 205 athletes.

In addition to these four international events, Yanqing will host six national-level winter sports competitions, including the National Bobsleigh Championship, the National Skeleton Championship, the National Luge Championship, the National Bobsleigh Tournament, the National Skeleton Tournament, and the National Luge Tournament. These events will last from November 2024 to March 2025 at the National Sliding Center.

Currently, Yanqing is continuously optimizing the services of the events to ensure the provision of better services for both participants and spectators.
