With the theme of "Fitness for All, Happy Life in Xicheng", the 2024 Xicheng District Fitness-for-All Ice and Snow Season was launched at Houhai Lake Ice Rink recently. At the opening ceremony, a series of ice and snow activities were unveiled to the public.

This year's event will be held online and offline from January to March, including the 4th Xicheng District Traditional Winter Games, as well as online ice and snow themed events and promotional sessions of sports-relevant knowledge and skills, among others. Besides, Xicheng District's all 15 sub-districts will organize over 30 ice and snow activities featuring local characteristics.

This March, Xicheng District will also undertake the "Bingcuqiu" (literally means "ice soccer", which incorporates some rules of curling) competition of the 2nd Beijing Winter Games. About 200 people from all over the city will participate in the wonderful sports event at the indoor ice rink of the newly-renovated Yuetan Stadium.
