From December 4 to 5, the 2025 China E-Sports Industry Annual Conference took place at Shougang Park in Shijingshan District. The conference focused on quality e-sports products as its starting point, exploring aspects such as game development by developers, club operations, hardware technologies, event operation services, and tournament broadcasting. It also featured a dedicated e-sports exhibition match segment.
The successful conclusion of the conference marks a crucial step in Shijingshan's systematic planning and long-term advancement in building itself into an "E-Sports City". To date, the district has gathered 128 gaming and e-sports enterprises, including Changyou.com (a subsidiary of Sohu), Tuyoo.com, and Hortor Games, covering key segments of the industry chain, such as game development and operation, game engines and 3D data, event execution and content production, as well as tournament live-streaming and broadcasting.
The integrated layout of tournaments, conferences, and exhibitions continues to drive the transformative upgrading of the e-sports brands in the district. Shijingshan has innovatively launched its own branded event, the "Western Beijing E-Sports Festival", which has been successfully held twice. The district has also introduced the nationally authoritative e-sports competition NEST (National Electronic Sports Tournament), creating an entertainment extravaganza that combines gaming experiences, e-sports tournaments, cultural creativity markets, and specialty dining.
The district contributes greatly to e-sports development. During the conference, the 2025 China E-sports Industry Development Report and the Beijing E-sports Tournament Rating Standards were released. These two industrial reports systematically showcase the development trajectory and future trends of the e-sports industry, further cementing Shijingshan's pivotal role as an information hub and a source of standards for the e-sports sector.
