This year, the Beijing Film & Life Festival, as the opening event of Chinese Film Consumption Year, launched a "Watch Movies, Enjoy Life" themed series of activities centered on "citywide carnival fun". The entire city transforms into the BJIFF's "second venue", with shopping malls, restaurants, cultural and creative bazaars, and tourist attractions all becoming film-themed playgrounds! The 14th Beijing International Film Festival

The first stop of the Beijing Film & Life Festival is the Daguanlou Cinema in Dashilar, a historic landmark closely tied to early Chinese cinema. In 1905, the Dahengxuan Teahouse was officially renamed the Daguanlou Cinema Park, ushering in a long association with Chinese film history. That same year, The Battle of Dingjunshan - China's first-ever film - was screened here.

During the film festival, we will hold a special screening of Beyond The Clouds and invite the main creators to attend afterward. Classic films celebrating the 80th anniversary of Changchun Film Studio and a series of Peking Opera films will also be screened here.
