Chang'an Grand Theater was originally established in the bustling commercial street of Xidan in 1937.
Currently located inside Guanghua Chang'an Building, No.7 Jianguomennei Street, to the east of Chang'an street, it enjoys convenient transportation links: Gate A of Jianguomen Station, on Metro Lines 1 and 2, is less than 400 meters away, and "Beijing Zhankoudong" station for bus routes No. 1, No. 126, No. 52, No. 120 and Night No. 1 is nearby.
While retaining the traditional Chinese opera's original arts, Chang'an Grand Theater's repertoire also follows the changes in culture over time, and provides a platform for academic exchange between opera performers, experts and playgoers.
