The 2025 Juyongguan Great Wall Hiking Challenge (2025居庸关长城徒步挑战赛) will make a stunning return on June 1. It is expected to be a cultural feast of tourism and sports, allowing runners to indulge in the gorgeous scenery of the Great Wall while challenging their own limits.

The Juyongguan Great Wall, an important section of the Great Wall of China, spans 4,142 meters with a charming landscape of undulating mountains, winding streams, and lush vegetation. The "Great Wall Surrounded by Lush Greenery at the Juyong Pass" (居庸叠翠) was once praised as the finest of the "Eight Great Sights of Yanjing (Beijing)" (燕京八景) in the Yuan Dynasty.

Challenge Group (the entire route is about 8.1 kilometers)

Parent-Child Group (the entire route is about 6.2 kilometers)

Quotas

Challenge Group: 300 persons

Parent-Child Group: 500 persons

Registration started at 10:00, May 7, 2025 and will end when all the quotas are filled.

Registration Fee

Challenge Group: CNY 88/person

Benefits for each runner:
A T-shirt, a backpack, drinking water, a pair of ice sleeves, functional supplies, a finisher's medal, event insurance, and unlimited admissions to Juyongguan Scenic Area with the race bib on the race day.

Prizes: The top three male and female runners will receive individual prizes.

Parent-Child Group: CNY 68/person
