On November 24, the unveiling ceremony for the NBA Migu-Shougang Park AI Intelligent Public Welfare Basketball Court was held at the cooling tower in Shougang Park, bringing elements of passion to the cooling tower with necessities for basketball matches.

The court is another case of innovative transformation of architectural space, an "artistic creation" featuring a sports space, and a benchmark project for the "reuse of Winter Olympic legacies". It functioned as a cooling tower for circulating water generated by the power plant during the days when the Shougang plant area was still in operation. It also became a stunning backdrop that gained worldwide attention during the 2022 Winter Olympics. Now, it serves as a basketball court filled with industrial elements, empowering the sustainable use of this industrial site through the integration of technologies and sports. This cooling tower is no longer "cold" in the literal sense.

It is reported that the court will be open to the public and operate in an unattended manner. To be more specific, visitors can scan the QR code on-site to purchase tickets and gain entry. During the trial operation period, the ticket price is CNY 9.9 per person, with no closing time set.
