On August 8, the 4th "8.8" Beijing Sports Shopping Carnival and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Sports Shopping Carnival (hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Carnival") were launched. Running from August 1 to August 31, the Carnival this year features five thematic segments same as those in the previous sessions, namely "Online Shopping", "Online Competitions", "Online Reservations", "Online Learning" and "Offline Carnival", with upgraded facilities and even better services.
"Online Shopping": From 00:00 on August 1, users can log in to the JD.COM App and search for "Beijing Sports Shopping Carnival" or "Sports Shopping Carnival" to access the special main page for the Carnival. Users can collect event-exclusive coupons to purchase related products. Throughout the Carnival, discounts and other forms of bonuses worth no less than CNY 60 million will be offered.
"Online Reservations": A total of 2,348 sports venues in Beijing are accessible via one reservation system. Citizens enter input the keywords "Venue Reservation" on the JD.COM App or tap the icon of "Venue Reservation" in a close-by section on the App. Sports venues can also be booked via the "JD Sports Venue Reservation" Mini-program on WeChat.
"Online Learning": Exclusive coupons are offered to purchase running, basketball, and other related courses on the "Online Courses" section on the Carnival's main page of JD.com App. Several offline fitness centers and sports training institutions will also organize "online orders, offline verification" campaigns, allowing users to place orders online and partake in the corresponding courses.
"Online Competitions": Over 100 online and offline sports sub-events will be held during the carnival. Starting from August 1, 24 sub-events including the 2nd (2023) Starlight Run, Street High Jump Challenge at Wanda Plaza in Tongzhou District, and Beijing Smart Sports Open will take place in Beijing. Beijing's 12 sports associations featuring cycling, marathon, athletics, mountaineering, extreme sports, hiking, karting, martial arts, boxing, swimming, gateball, and squash respectively will also gradually organize various sports sub-events for the public.
"Offline Carnival": This segment was held from August 5 to 8 at Beitou Olympic Park 1314, including four interactive exhibition areas for displaying products and offering relevant experiences for visitors, and a rich variety of sports-themed sub-events. Over the past few days, the "Offline Carnival" has received over 30,000 visits from the citizens.
