In the upcoming semester, China Agricultural University (CAU) announced that it is open to the public. Off-campus visitors can register to enter the campus by swiping their resident ID cards or scanning the QR code at the entrance gate.
During the first weekend after the university's opening, from March 2 to 3, the CAU Entomological Museum, a renowned attraction within the university, received high praise from numerous visitors.

The museum is situated in the New Plant Protection Building of the West Campus. It comprises an exhibition hall, a hall for dry-preserved specimens, and a hall for fluid-preserved specimens. The museum has a large collection and rich variety, with a collection of 3.5 million pieces of specimens, including more than 7,000 types of type specimens, ranking second in China and first among domestic universities. The collections of insects from all over the world, over a long period of time, the earliest specimen collected in 1857.

After opening to the public, the museum now offers free volunteer guide services to enhance understanding of insect-related knowledge and popularize plant protection concepts.

1. Opening Hours
The museum is free of charge and open from 9:00 to 17:00 on Saturdays and Sundays, unless otherwise notified for statutory holidays. Temporary changes will be notified. The guide service is available at 10:00, 11:00, 15:00 and 16:00 on Saturdays and Sundays. Visitors can visit by themselves at other times.
2. Appointment Channels
Please click "Participation" - "Visit Reservation" in the menu bar of the official WeChat account of CAU to make an appointment before visiting. Minors under the age of 14 do not need to make appointments, but they must be accompanied by their guardians who have made appointments. Visitors who have made a reservation can enter the university with the screenshot of the successful reservation order and their ID cards, and the reservation order will be verified by the staff at the museum entrance.
