This year marks the 5th anniversary of Liangma River cruises in Beijing. A series of exciting events will unfold throughout July, including the debut of themed cruise boats, on-the-water parties, interactive surprises and creative contests. This summer, the Liangma River will bring you all the romance, fun and perks!

The M. LanPanda Boat (named after the internet-famous giant panda, Meng Lan, living at the Beijing Zoo) features panda-themed decorations throughout. Its blue-and-white sailor styling is a refreshing look, transporting you straight into the floating fairytale world of M. LanPanda the moment you step aboard!

The newly unveiled "Jaguar Cruise" ship is the Capital Museum's first floating promotional platform for its grand exhibition "Maize, Gold, Jaguars—A Grand Exhibition of Ancient Mayan and Andean Civilizations". Centered on iconic motifs including jaguars, gold and maize, the vessel integrates distinctive decorative patterns and classic totems of ancient Mayan and Andean civilizations both in its interior and exterior, creating an immersive floating exhibition space, showcasing the civilizations of ancient Maya and the Andes.
This cruise follows the 1.8-kilometer premium night tour route along the Liangma River and is integrated with the "Zhaohua Xishi" (朝花溪拾) immersive light show, connecting more than 10 distinctive urban landmarks along the way, including the Shell Theater, Shuidui Bridge, Haoyun Bridge, and Youyi Bridge. During the nighttime cruise, visitors can not only take in the dazzling waterside night views of Beijing but also explore the rich heritage of the ancient Mayan and Andean civilizations up close. Throughout the event, passengers can also participate in lucky dips to win limited-edition souvenirs.
The Liangma River has also rolled out a series of special July perks, with surprise Easter eggs waiting to be unlocked throughout the month. Anything associated with the number "five" may unlock a hidden surprise. Random limited-edition benefits, secret interactive activities and other unexpected treats will surely double the fun for all boat riders!
A floating bar has opened starting from July 6, offering picture-perfect backdrops for stunning shots. The Douyin Video Contest will kick off on July 10: simply submit your videos featuring the Liangma River for a chance to win amazing prizes. Carnival nights are planned for July 24 and 25, with exciting highlights including a mystery ticket draw, high-jump challenges, and live music performances to keep the celebration ongoing!
