Beihai Park: Qingfeng Steamed Stuffed Bun Restaurant

Northern End of Beijing Central Axis: Huguosi Snack Restaurant (Di'anmen Branch)

Last year, the 46th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Convention passed a resolution to include "Beijing Central Axis: A Building Ensemble Exhibiting the Ideal Order of the Chinese Capital" in the World Heritage List. Many visitors now include the Central Axis on their must-visit list. At the northern end of the Central Axis, Huguosi Snack Restaurant (Di'anmen Branch) is known for its braised chicken, traditional low-sugar pastries, and Naipizi yogurt.

Shichahai is an essential stop for exploring Beijing. The Yinding Bridge is one of its famous landmarks, offering a classic view of distant hills. Due to its proximity to Shichahai, many visitors explore Huguo Temple Street, which is named after the Huguo Temple first built in the Yuan Dynasty. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, this street became a bustling commercial area in Beijing. It now still features historical sites like the Vajra Hall of Huguo Temple, Mei Lanfang's former residence, the People's Theater, and the former site of Prince Qing's Mansion. Huifeng Mending Meat Pie Restaurant on the street is famous for its signature mending meat pies, a must-try Beijing specialty. To cater to different tastes, the shop has also developed variations of the meat pie with fillings such as shiitake mushrooms, wood ear mushrooms, eggs, and shrimp. These are available in limited quantities every day.

Beyond trendy cafes and food spots, it houses Eryouju Meat Pie Restaurant, which offers a full range of options: steamed buns, pork/beef pies, and hot dishes like stir-fries and casseroles.
