Recently, seven additional incubation platforms in Beijing have been recognized as the future industry incubation platforms, including MIRACLEPLUS Artificial General Intelligence Incubation Platform (奇绩创坛通用人工智能育新平台) in Haidian District, Gaosite Smart Mobility Incubation Platform in Shunyi District, and Huairou Incubation Platform for Atom-Level Manufacturing in Huairou District.
The seven newly recognized platforms cover three major future industries (future information, future health and future manufacturing) and six specific fields (artificial general intelligence (AGI), atom-level manufacturing, brain science and brain-computer interfaces, quantum information, metaverse, and smart mobility). Notably, this is the first time Beijing has recognized incubation platforms for smart mobility, atom-level manufacturing, and brain science and brain-computer interfaces.
Geographically, the platforms are located in six administrative districts. Two are located in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area and one each in Haidian, Changping, Huairou, Shunyi and Shijingshan districts. For the first time, Shijingshan and Huairou have incubation platforms recognized as those for the future industries. In terms of incubation models, the platforms are exploring a range of distinctive approaches, such as co-working and sustained startup mentoring, joint technological breakthroughs, early-stage scouting paired with targeted incubation, and brand-building promotional events.
To date, Beijing has recognized 27 future industry incubation platforms across three batches. Located in 12 districts, these platforms cover all six major future industries and 17 specialized fields. Together, they have attracted more than 1,000 enterprises, cultivating 216 specialized, high-end and innovation-driven enterprises that provide distinctive products or services, and 47 national-level "Little Giant" enterprises within the future industries. Additionally, 10 of these enterprises have been awarded the "Win the Future" Award.
