The Haidian Dining Hall–Digital Intelligence Experimental Restaurant, a tech-driven AI robot canteen, delivers a revolutionary dining experience. Launched on December 22 last year, it has been serving around 500 people each day.

One highlight of the robot canteen is that the food is served by weight. Each dining plate is embedded with a smart chip. After diners choose their dishes and put them on the plate, the screen above the counter instantly displays the exact price, along with nutritional information such as calories and protein content, making it especially friendly to fitness lovers and people managing their diets. At checkout, the system also calculates the nutritional value of each meal and sends the information directly to users via a mini-program.

In the open kitchen area, the noodle-making robots automatically handle everything from kneading and rolling dough to cooking and draining noodles. In four minutes, they can simultaneously produce four bowls of noodles with different flavors, even adjusting thickness and texture as required. The back kitchen is packed with smart equipment, where robots take care of tasks such as washing vegetables, chopping, stir-frying, pastry making and dish washing. It takes little more than one hour to prepare lunch for 500 people, with only one chef and two operators needed to work alongside the robots.

Dining Guide: The restaurant is open to all. You can apply for a physical card on-site or register via the mobile mini-program to dine. Only lunch and dinner are currently available.
