Starting from 2013, OTEC holds Global Entrepreneurship Competition which is attended by top investing institutions and enterprises, so as to make quick matching between projects and full elements like market and capital and attract excellent projects from around the globe to come to Chaoyang, know about Chaoyang, and settle down in Chaoyang.

OTEC 2021 Global Entrepreneurship Competition is held between May and August, consisting of the overseas competition zone, the domestic competition zone, and the cooperative invitational contests. The winning projects of the competition zones and the invitational contests will take part in the global final.

There are 4 tracks under OTEC 2021 Global Entrepreneurship Competition , namely, the new consumption track, the big health track, the data intelligence track, and the digital economy (Chaoyang Area of Beijing Pilot Free Trade Zone) track.

1. New Consumption Track: Lifestyle, Education & Culture, and New Sports.

2. Health & Medicine Track: Bio-medicine, Big Data in Medicine, AI for Medicine, etc.

3. Data Intelligence Track: Artificial Intelligence, Integrated Circuit, Intelligent Mobility, Intelligent Hardware, Industrial Internet, Cloud Service, etc.

4. Digital Economy Track (Chaoyang Area of Beijing Free Trade Zone): Digital Trade, Cultural Trade, Business Exhibition, International Logistics and Delivery, Cross-border Finance, etc.
