In 2025, Beijing's economy maintained a stable performance, with production and demand both showing a good momentum of steady growth, employment and prices remaining stable, resident income increasing steadily, new quality productive forces being cultivated and strengthened, and positive progress achieved in high-quality development.

Beijing's gross domestic product (GDP) reached 5.20734 trillion yuan in 2025, representing a year-on-year increase of 5.4 percent at constant prices. By sector, the primary sector recorded an added value of 10.92 billion yuan, down 0.7 percent from the previous year, whereas that of the secondary sector was 718.74 billion yuan, up 3.5 percent, and that of the tertiary industry was 4.47769 trillion yuan, up 5.8 percent.

In 2025, the city's total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery reached 24.98 billion yuan, remaining unchanged from the previous year at comparable prices. The added value of the industrial companies above the designated size increased by 6.5 percent year on year at comparable prices. The added value of the tertiary sector grew by 5.8 percent year on year at constant prices; specifically, the information transmission, software, and information technology services industries recorded an added value of 1.21924 trillion yuan, up 11 percent, while the financial industry recorded an added value of 866.82 billion yuan, rising by 8.7 percent. Fixed asset investment (excluding those made by rural households) increased by 5.5 percent year on year. Total market consumption grew by 1.6 percent year on year. The consumer price index (CPI) for residents in Beijing decreased by 0.1 percent year on year. The average surveyed urban unemployment rate stood at 4.1 percent, unchanged from the previous year. Meanwhile, the per capita disposable income of residents reached 89,090 yuan, up 4.3 percent year on year (or 4.4 percent in real terms).
