An airport Arrivals and Departures Information System for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games was officially unveiled on March 1.

According to Xu Zhijun, Deputy Secretary General of the Beijing Organising Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, more than 32,000 stakeholders will be provided with arrival and departure services during the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games. The Beijing 2022 Organizing Committee will coordinate these services  among Beijing's two airports and three competition zones. Service quality is highly significant to stakeholders' first impression of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.

As an important part of the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, the Arrivals and Departures Information System makes use of multiple information technologies such as big data and cloud computing. Seamlessly coordinating and sharing data among multiple systems, the Arrivals and Departures Information System is designed to collect, manage, and utilize relevant travel information for approximately 32,000 guests and their belongings. These guests include athletes, team officials, members of the Olympic family and distinguished guests, members of the International Sports Federations, media personnel, broadcasters, and partners. During the Games, the Arrivals and Departures Information System will offer all Beijing 2022 service providers and areas with data services to improve their quality of service and raise standards of operation. After the Games' conclusion, the system as a legacy of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games will continue to assist the civil aviation with other major air transportation work.

The system's launch is the latest achievement of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the State Immigration Administration, the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China, and civil aviation system associated organizations. It demonstrates their common goal to promote the sharing and integration of information through the application of innovative technologies. With this development, preparatory work for airport arrival and departure services is now sprinting to the final completion.
