Hello. If the passport number changes after renewal, the holder cannot use the self-service immigration clearance channel when entering the Chinese mainland for the first time with the new passport. He/she must use the manual inspection channel to complete biometric information registration for self-service clearance. After the registration is completed, he/she may use the self-service channel for future entries.
