As of September 13, 2024, all subway stations in Beijing have added the function of accepting foreign bank cards for both ticket vending and gate entry. Foreign passengers may use financial IC cards, magnetic stripe cards, or smartphone NFC cards bearing the logos of international card organizations (such as MasterCard and VISA) to purchase tickets at self-service machines or to directly tap their card to enter the station.
