Foreign individuals holding a work visa or journalist visa and working within mainland China are allowed to purchase one residential property in Beijing for self-use. At the time of purchase, the buyer must be physically present in mainland China and must complete temporary residence registration with the public security authorities.

Go to the official website of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Planning and Natural Resources → Homepage (首页) → Government Services  (政务服务) → Beijing Online Real Estate Registration Service Platform  (北京市不动产登记领域网上办事服务平台) → Business Handling (业务办理) → Personal Home Purchase Qualification Review (个人购房资格审核) → Beijing Home Purchase Eligibility Verification Platform (北京市购房资格核验平台) . Once registered, you can submit your application for eligibility review.
