Built in 1952, the Taoranting Park integrates features of classical architecture and art of modern gardens. It is a historical and cultural park, highlighting Chinese nation's "pavilion culture", and gets its name from the Taorao Pavilion, one of China's four best-known pavilions.

Note: Foreign visitors need to call at (010) 63511596 to make a reservation at least one day in advance and provide information such as name, nationality and the number of passport or other identification during the office hours from 9:00 to16:00 every day. Tickets will not be sold on site for foreign visitors who do not make a reservation.

(i) Admire Pavilions: South Gate—Park of Chinese Famous Pavilions—Yunhui Tower & Qingyin Pavilion—Cibei Nunnery—Nanping Wantiao Pavilion—Tanying Liujin Scenic Area—Ruixiang Pavilion—Tomb of Martyr Gao Junyu (Park of Chinese Famous Pavilions is located in the southwest corner of the park, so the quickest way to reach here is via the south gate or west gate.)
(ii) Boat Tour: East Gate—Dock—Mid-lake Islet—Go around the Lake—Park of Chinese Famous Pavilions
Hours for Boat Tour: 09:00-16:00. Visitors need to pay CNY 200 as a deposit with a minimum charge of one hour while purchasing a boat ticket.
(iii) Children's Entertainment: North Gate—Children's Playground—Snow Mountain—Dock—Park of Chinese Famous Pavilions
(Events in the Children's Playground are charged separately, but Snow Mountain Slide is free of charge.)
Parking: 15 spaces at the east gate (CNY eight per hour), and 31 spaces at the south gate (CNY ten per hour)
Bike parking is available at the east gate and north gate.
