What should be done if I receive a red or yellow code on the Health Kit?

There are several reasons why the Health Kit may display a red or yellow code, according to Pang Xinghuo, deputy director of the Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Individuals with a change in Health Kit status include those who:

- Have visited medium- or high-risk areas;

- Have been identified as a close contact, secondary close contact, or at a high risk of coronavirus infection due to close contact with a confirmed case or an infected person traced by epidemiological investigation, travel history, or shopping activity;

- Have tested positive for the coronavirus in a nucleic acid test;

- Have been on the same transportation vehicle including the plane, train, subway and bus, or visited the same location, like supermarkets and shopping malls, in the same time period with an infected person.

Whoever receives a red or yellow code on the Health Kit is at risk of infection, said Pang Xinghuo. In this case, that individual shall report to their residential community and employer, or the hotel where he or she is residing in by following the guidance shown on the Health Kit. Additionally, they must provide accurate travel records, contact history, and health status. No concealment or omission is allowed.
