Along the route of the about-60-minite cruise are three docks in total, namely the Beijing Zoo Dock (starting point), Ziyuwan Dock, and Nanruyimen Dock of the Summer Palace (arriving point). The nine-kilometer-long waterway passes by captivating scenery along the Changhe River, including the Zizhuyuan Park, Wanshou Temple, and Maizhong Bridge.
It is reported that this year's cruise tour is available from April 1 to October 31. Meanwhile, trip themes of three seasons have been introduced for the route, namely viewing willows along the Changhe River in spring, viewing lotus flowers at imperial gardens and palaces in summer, viewing autumn leaves along the Changhe River in western Beijing. In the Grand Canal Cultural Belt, visitors can take the "Imperial Yuhe Cruise" to enjoy the beauty of the "Three Hills and Five Gardens" in Haidian District.
