(I) For applicants with a doctoral degree or above

1. Two (2) 2-inch photos in color, in printed and electronic form (the latter submitted in CD). Please ensure that the photo is taken against a white or light blue background and includes your full, bare face and head.

2. Photocopy of the applicant's valid foreign passport and work residence permit issued in Beijing.

3. Photocopies of the overseas settlement certificate, the naturalization certificate or household certificate transcript, and the Chinese passport used for naturalization. Alternatively, applicants shall submit the original Certificate for Chinese of Foreign Nationality issued by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality. 

4. Photocopy of educational diploma or degree certificate, certified by a) the Chinese embassy or consulate of the country it was obtained in, or b) by a certification institution designated by the national education department.

5. Photocopy of the Certificate of No Criminal Conviction in all foreign countries or regions that the applicant has resided in continuously for more than two (2) years before the date of application. The certificate shall be certified by the Chinese embassy (or consulate) of that country. Alternatively, the applicant shall submit a certificate issued by the embassy (or consulate) of said country in China. The time in which the certificate is issued and certified shall be within six (6) months prior to the date of application.

6. Photocopy of the Health Certificate issued by an Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau of China, or of a health certificate by a foreign medical institution certified by the Chinese embassy or consulate in that country. The certificate which is to be submitted shall be issued up to six (6) months prior to the date of application. The Exit-Entry Inspection and Quarantine Bureau designated for Beijing is the Beijing International Travel Health Care Center (Haidian Clinic of Beijing International Travel Healthcare Center, No.10 De Zheng Street, Haidian District, Beijing). 

7. Photocopy of the applicant's individual tax payment certificate issued by tax authorities.

8. Photocopy of the registration certificate of the employer. For businesses, the employer shall provide a photocopy of the Business License; other employment entities shall provide a Certificate of the Public Institution Legal Person. If the employing party is a foreign-funded enterprise, the employer shall provide a) the Approval Certificate for a Foreign-Funded Enterprise or b) the Recordation Receipt for the Formation of a Foreign-Funded Enterprise or the Recordation Receipt for the Modification of a Foreign-Funded Enterprise. 

9. The original employment certificate issued by the Zhongguancun enterprise. 

10. Photocopy of the Work Permit for Foreigners, the Employment Certificate for Foreigners or the Foreign Expert Certificate. Personal details and information on the employer and position shall be consistent with those indicated on the Employment Certificate and other relevant certificates. 

11. The applicant's Curriculum Vitae (CV), detailing their activity from age 18 in consecutive annual order. 

(II) For applicants that have been working for at least four (4) consecutive years

2. Photocopy of the applicant's valid foreign passport and work residence permits they applied for in the last four (4) consecutive years in Beijing.

3. Photocopies of the overseas settlement certificate, the naturalization certificate or  household certificate transcript, and the Chinese passport used for naturalization. Alternatively, applicants shall submit the original Certificate for Chinese of Foreign Nationality issued by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality.
