On March 21, Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau in conjunction with other six departments issued the Plan for Encouraging Vehicle Replacement and Consumption in Beijing Municipality. According to the plan, owners who replace their ordinary passenger cars with new energy passenger cars will be eligible for a subsidy ranging from CNY 8,000 to 10,000.
The plan shows that vehicle owners will receive a subsidy of CNY 8,000 per vehicle if they scrap or transfer their existing new energy passenger cars, or other types of passenger cars that have been used for one to six years. If they scrap or transfer other types of passenger cars that have been used for no less than six years, they will receive a subsidy of CNY 10,000 per vehicle.
