In light of re-emerging COVID-19 cases, some residents of the Ronghui Community in the Tiangongyuan neighborhood of Daxing District have recently been required to enter designated quarantine. For families with pets, one member may stay home to take care of them, on the condition that COVID-19 control measures are strictly followed. This was a statement made by Han Xinxing, Deputy District Mayor of Daxing District, at the 219th press conference on pandemic prevention and control held in Beijing on January 24.

Starting from January 25, all pet-keeping personnel requested for designated quarantine and observation in the Daxing District of Beijing shall follow the arrangements of the local government and receive health examinations with their pets at dedicated sites for pandemic prevention and control where animal quarantine professionals will be stationed for pet quarantine assistance.
