On April 9, the 2024 "Daka China - Opportunities in Beijing" Online International Communication Event was officially launched at the BAIC Group Off-Road Vehicle Factory.

In order to demonstrate the vibrant and robust development of the Chinese economy, enhance the willingness and confidence of foreign investment in China, and showcase the development and opportunities in Beijing to the world, this event invited media representatives from central and eastern European countries such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, and Slovenia, as well as multilingual internet celebrities of the European and Latin American Languages Programming Center of China Media Group to visit Beijing. They will visit leading technological innovation companies and cultural landmarks in Beijing, learn about the current status of urban construction and development in Beijing, and experience the world-class business environment in Beijing.

Chen Wei, Deputy General Manager of BAIC Group, and Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of BAIC Motor, delivered a speech at the launching ceremony, stating that BAIC Group is the first stop of "Daka China - Opportunities in Beijing" event and also a microcosm of China's automotive industry and the capital's economic development. "Welcome to try out BAIC products and technologies, and witness Beijing with your eyes, measure Beijing with your footsteps, and experience Beijing with your heart, presenting the most beautiful, newest, and best side of Beijing to the world."

Anita Buhovski, Senior Journalist of "Faktor" in North Macedonia, spoke as a foreign media representative. She said, "In China there is very strong connection between old and ultra modern, but opposites attract, right?" She believes that this is not just a possibility to get to know China by  her own experience and to write stories about all she can visit here.

Wang Xiaolin, Counselor of the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Fan Jianping, President of CRI Online of China Media Group, Chen Wei, Deputy General Manager of BAIC Group, and Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of BAIC Motor, and Anita Buhovski, Senior Reporter of "Faktor", a North Macedonia-based news website, jointly announced the official launch of the 2024 "Daka China - Opportunities in Beijing" Online International Communication Event.

After the launching ceremony, the participants watched the performance of BAIC off-road vehicles together, visited the BAIC stamping, body, and assembly workshops, and test-drove the BAIC off-road vehicles. Representatives of the media outlets from the Central and Eastern Europe expressed their admiration and unanimously agreed that it was a meaningful experience.

The event will last for three days. The delegation of the media outlets from the Central and Eastern Europe, multilingual anchors, and others will also visit various places in Beijing, including the Beijing Government Service Center, the integrated transportation hub project of Beijing Municipal Administrative Center Railway Station, Beijing Library, Grand Canal Museum of Beijing, Beijing Performing Arts Centre, and Beijing Jingwa Agricultural Science & Technology Innovation Center, in order to perceive the innovation vitality, technological strength, and industrial power of Beijing from multiple perspectives.
