Details of Temporary Traffic Control for Beijing Half Marathon This Sunday

Beijing Half Marathon 2024 of Beijing International Running Festival will begin at 7:00 on April 14 (Sunday). From 5:00 till the end of the event, temporary traffic control will be put in place on relevant routes at different times, and no individual or vehicle without marathon-exclusive permits will be allowed to enter these roads. Please schedule your trip well in advance to avoid any disruptions to your daily routine.

1. Tian'anmen Square's west side road (excluding its north and south entrances), and east side road (excluding its north and south entrances) will be closed to both vehicles and pedestrians starting at 5:00. Unauthorized vehicles may take a detour via Zhengyi Road and the west side road of the Great Hall of the People.

2. Beginning at 6:55, vehicles and pedestrians will not be allowed to enter a part of East Chang'an Avenue, which is between the north entrance (excluded) of the west side road of Tian'anmen Square and  Jianguomen Bridge. Unauthorized vehicles may take Qianmen East Street and Chongwenmen West Street as diversion routes.

3. A part of the side road of the East 2nd Ring Road, which crosses the Jianguomen Bridge, Chaoyangmen Bridge, and Dongsishitiao Bridge will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians beginning at 7:05. Ritan Road, and Chaowaishichang Street and Jishikou East Road are available diversion routes for unauthorized vehicles.

4. A part of the side road of the East 2nd Ring Road, which crosses Dongzhimen Bridge, Dongsishitiao Bridge, and Xiaojie Bridge will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians starting at 7:10. Dongzhong Street, Dongzhimen Outer Street, Dongzhimen Outer Byway, Zuojiazhuang West Street, and Xiangheyuan North Street are available diversion routes for unauthorized vehicles.

5. A part of the North 2nd Ring Side Road, which crosses Xiaojie Bridge, Yonghegong Bridge and Andingmen Bridge will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians starting at 7:15. Hepingli Central Street and Hepingli North Street are available diversion routes for unauthorized vehicles.

6. A part of Andingmen Bridge that goes from Andingmen Outer Street to Anzhen Bridge will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians starting at 7:20. Gulou Outer Street and Hepingli West Street are available diversion routes for unauthorized vehicles.

7. Beginning at 7:30, vehicles and pedestrians will not be allowed to enter the route starting from Anzhen Bridge via Anding Road to the east entrance of the National Olympic Sports Center. Unauthorized vehicles can take Yinghuayuan West Street as a diversion route.

8. Aoti Middle Road (between the east entrance of the National Olympic Sports Center and the west entrance of Aoti Middle Road) and a part of Beichen Road (between the west entrance of Aoti Middle Road and the intersection of Beichen Road and National Stadium South Road) will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians beginning at 7:35. Unauthorized vehicles may take the North 4th Ring Middle Road, Beichen East Road, and Beichen West Road as diversion routes.

9. A part of National Stadium North Road (between Jingguan Avenue in the central area of Beijing Olympic Park and Hujing East Road), as well as the middle and north segments of Hujing East Road (between National Stadium North Road and Datun North Road), will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians beginning at 7:40. Beichen East Road and Beichen West Road are available diversion routes for unauthorized vehicles.

10. A part of Datun Road (between Hujing East Road and Tianchen East Road) will be closed to vehicles beginning at 7:45. Huizhong Road may be used as a diversion route for unauthorized vehicles.

11. A part of Datun North Road (between Hujing East Road and Tianchen East Road) and a part of Tianchen East Road (between Datun North Road and Datun Road) will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians beginning at 7:50. Kehui South Road, Beichen North Road, and Beichen West Road are possible diversion routes for unauthorized vehicles.
