The event is hosted by the Future Science Fiction Industry Development Center in Shijingshan District, Beijing, which is also the organizer of the Science Fiction Planet Award. The center has contributed to the launch of the Science Fiction Planet Award, the first international comprehensive science fiction award created independently by China. Initiated by four leading figures in the science fiction field, namely Wang Jinkang, Liu Cixin, Wu Yan, and Guo Fan, the award was announced at the opening ceremony of the 2021 China Science Fiction Convention. This year's convention will discuss the following topics: the current investment status and future trends of the science fiction industry, the support provided by financial institutions to science fiction enterprises, the policy environment and market opportunities of the science fiction industry, international cooperation and exchange in the science fiction industry, and innovative pathways and technological applications in the science fiction industry.
